Buck's beach is our local, neighborhood Lake Tahoe beach. It is only 3 blocks from Rocky Retreat, a 5 to 8 minute walk away. It is also possible to drive to this beach and usually parking spaces are available. |
| The description of Buck's Beach in Ken Castle's The Complete Guide Tahoe is as follows: "This is one of the locals' hideaways, and it's easy to see why....It is a relatively small but scenic area, with a protected sandy beach, a bouldered promontory jutting into the water, and a series of rock islets." There are also wonderful, huge boulders on which to climb and to sit in the sun. |
